My CARE Progress

I have done a check of my CARE progress so far this year.

I am proud of my progress I feel I could do much better.

Because i need to record my ticks when I need too.

How far away are you from reaching your BRONZE

A long way because I usually don't record my ticks.

The area of CARE that I need to try harder in C / A / R / E
Active thinking because i need to come up with more ideas.

To achieve my BRONZE award quicker I need to show all the care values more.

The one thing that I can do to improve my progress in CARE is to show the care values more.

We will review CARE progress again at the end of the term.

Term 2 Te Reo Reflection

Unistructural	Multistructural	Relational	Extended Abstract
I can say 1-5 words about celebrations in te Reo Maori.	With help, I can ask and answer several questions about celebrations, using te Reo Maori.	I can ask and answer several questions about celebrations,using Te Reo Maori.	I can ask and answer a range of questions about celebrations,using Te Reo Maori. I can teach others these questions and answers.

In Te Reo this term I have been learning about using vocabulary around food (Kai) and celebrations (Ngā hākari)

Here are some sentences, with english translation in brackets, that I can say confidently (list 3-4).

1. He pai ki a koe te/ngā (Do you like…)
2. Kāore e pai ki ahau te/ nga___ .( I don’t like______)
3. He aha te mea pai, ki a koe kei to pāti? (What do you like about your party?)
4. He rā whānau ki a koe (A happy birthday to you)

WALT apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of different scenarios.

Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I have used successfully are always say yes because it keeps the improvisation going.

Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I would like to have more practice at is thinking on the spot and keep the improv going.

The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was the game because its fun watching people act.

The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was acting in front of a group because people are watching and it pressures you when acting.

My favorite improvisation game was doorbell because it was challenging and it was fun

My next step/ something I need to work on further  in improvisation is thing of ideas on the spot because i cant think of something on the spot, i need to think before i get up on stage.

Student Led Conference Reflection

The things I enjoyed most about my SLC were: talking to my parents about my learning.

What went well and why my presenting because i was confident and nothing went wrong with the device.

What were the challenges you faced when preparing and presenting your SLC I was nerves while talking to my parents

What changes would you make for next time and why add more detail so i take up all the time i had an extra 5 minutes at the end.

Using a range of multiplicative strategies

In Maths we have been learning to use a range of multiplicative strategies when operating with whole numbers.

The strategies we have been learning are:

- Estimate the reasonableness of large problems like 1 788 – 891. Could 497 be right?

- Use multiplication to solve addition and subtraction problems eg. 

   64 – 48 = as (8 x 8) – (6 x 8) = 2 x 8= 16

- Use doubling / halving, trebling/ thirding and adjusting to solve multiplication problems,

  eg.  12 x 50 solved as 4 x 150= 600

- Use an algorithm to solve multiplication problems.

- Solve problems using simple cube numbers .

- Use an algorithm to solve division problems.
